महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-128, verse-27

अद्यैव ह्यहमेतांश्च ये चैताननु भारत ।
निगृह्य राजन्पार्थेभ्यो दद्यां किं दुष्कृतं भवेत् ॥२७॥
27. adyaiva hyahametāṁśca ye caitānanu bhārata ,
nigṛhya rājanpārthebhyo dadyāṁ kiṁ duṣkṛtaṁ bhavet.
27. adya eva hi aham etān ca ye ca etān anu bhārata
nigṛhya rājan pārtkebhyaḥ dadyām kim duṣkṛtam bhavet
27. bhārata rājan hi adya eva aham etān ca ye ca etān
anu nigṛhya pārtkebhyaḥ dadyām kim duṣkṛtam bhavet
27. O Bhārata, today itself I could indeed seize these (Kauravas) and those who follow them. O King, if I were to seize them and give them to the Pārthas (Pāṇḍavas), what great misdeed (duṣkṛta) would that be (implying it would be a huge misdeed)!
