मातरं चैव शोचामि कृपणां पुत्रगृद्धिनीम् ।
यास्माकं नित्यमाशास्ते महत्त्वमधिकं परैः ॥३५॥

35. mātaraṁ caiva śocāmi kṛpaṇāṁ putragṛddhinīm ,
yāsmākaṁ nityamāśāste mahattvamadhikaṁ paraiḥ.

35. I also grieve for my pitiable mother, who is intensely desirous of her sons, and who constantly hopes for our greater prominence compared to others.
