महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-176, verse-23

इति चाप्यहमश्रौषं वचस्तेषां दयावताम् ।
मयि संजातहार्दानामथ तेऽन्तर्हिता द्विजाः ॥२३॥
23. iti cāpyahamaśrauṣaṁ vacasteṣāṁ dayāvatām ,
mayi saṁjātahārdānāmatha te'ntarhitā dvijāḥ.
23. iti ca api aham aśrauṣam vacaḥ teṣām dayāvatām
mayi saṃjātahārdānām atha te antarhitāḥ dvijāḥ
23. Thus, I heard the words of those compassionate twice-born (dvija) ones who had developed affection for me. Then, they vanished.
