महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-176, verse-10

दिष्ट्या त्वं क्षुधितस्याद्य देवैर्भक्षो महाभुज ।
दिष्ट्या कालस्य महतः प्रियाः प्राणा हि देहिनाम् ॥१०॥
10. diṣṭyā tvaṁ kṣudhitasyādya devairbhakṣo mahābhuja ,
diṣṭyā kālasya mahataḥ priyāḥ prāṇā hi dehinām.
10. diṣṭyā tvam kṣudhitasya adya devaiḥ bhakṣaḥ mahābhuja
diṣṭyā kālasya mahataḥ priyāḥ prāṇāḥ hi dehinām
10. Fortunately, O great-armed one, you are today food for me, the hungry one, appointed by the gods. Fortunately, the lives of embodied beings are indeed dear to great Time (kāla), which claims them.
