महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-71, verse-22

हतेषु भारतेष्वाजौ कुरूणां गुरवस्तदा ।
एवं सामानि गास्यन्तीत्युक्त्वा धौम्योऽपि गच्छति ॥२२॥
22. hateṣu bhārateṣvājau kurūṇāṁ guravastadā ,
evaṁ sāmāni gāsyantītyuktvā dhaumyo'pi gacchati.
22. hateṣu bhārateṣu ājau kurūṇām guravaḥ tadā evam
sāmāni gāsyanti iti uktvā dhaumyaḥ api gacchati
22. 'Then, when the Bhāratas are slain in battle, the elders (guru) of the Kurus will thus chant the Sāman hymns.' Having spoken thus, Dhaumya also departs.
