गौतमः क्षयणादस्मादथासौ तत्र वेश्मनि ।
भजते मागधं वंशं स नृपाणामनुग्रहात् ॥६॥

bhajate māgadhaṁ vaṁśaṁ sa nṛpāṇāmanugrahāt.

6. Gautamaḥ kṣayaṇāt asmāt atha asau tatra veśmani
bhajate māgadham vaṃśam saḥ nṛpāṇām anugrahāt

6. Following this decline of Gautama's lineage, his descendant then adopted the Magadha dynasty in that dwelling, through the favor of kings.
