महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-130, verse-26

तेषामृषिकृतो धर्मो धर्मिणामुपपद्यते ।
न कामकारात्कामोऽन्यः संसेव्यो धर्मदर्शिभिः ॥२६॥
26. teṣāmṛṣikṛto dharmo dharmiṇāmupapadyate ,
na kāmakārātkāmo'nyaḥ saṁsevyo dharmadarśibhiḥ.
26. teṣām ṛṣikṛtaḥ dharmaḥ dharmiṇām upapadyate na
kāmakārāt kāmaḥ anyaḥ saṃsevyaḥ dharmadarśibhiḥ
26. teṣām dharmiṇām ṛṣikṛtaḥ dharmaḥ upapadyate.
dharmadarśibhiḥ kāmakārāt anyaḥ kāmaḥ na saṃsevyaḥ
26. For them, the principle (dharma) established by the sages is fitting for the righteous. No other desire (kāma) should be indulged out of personal will (kāmakāra) by those who truly understand (dharma).
