महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-39, verse-43

ततो देवाः समेत्याथ ब्रह्माणमिदमब्रुवन् ।

43. Then, having assembled, the gods, who were at that time harassed by the power of that demon, spoke this to Brahmā regarding his destruction.
