महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-39, verse-35

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
ततस्ते ब्राह्मणाः सर्वे हुंकारैः क्रोधमूर्छिताः ।
निर्भर्त्सयन्तः शुचयो निजघ्नुः पापराक्षसम् ॥३५॥
35. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
tataste brāhmaṇāḥ sarve huṁkāraiḥ krodhamūrchitāḥ ,
nirbhartsayantaḥ śucayo nijaghnuḥ pāparākṣasam.

krodhamūrcitāḥ | nirbhartsayantaḥ

35. Vaiśampāyana said: Then, all those pure Brahmins, overwhelmed with rage by their fierce shouts of 'hum', rebuked and killed the sinful demon.
