महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-28, verse-38

मातृपितृसहस्राणि पुत्रदारशतानि च ।
संसारेष्वनुभूतानि कस्य ते कस्य वा वयम् ॥३८॥
38. mātṛpitṛsahasrāṇi putradāraśatāni ca ,
saṁsāreṣvanubhūtāni kasya te kasya vā vayam.

38. Thousands of mothers and fathers, and hundreds of sons and wives, have been experienced in various cycles of worldly existence (saṃsāra). Whose are they? Or, indeed, whose are we?
