महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-28, verse-24

सन्ति पुत्राः सुबहवो दरिद्राणामनिच्छताम् ।
बहूनामिच्छतां नास्ति समृद्धानां विचेष्टताम् ॥२४॥
24. santi putrāḥ subahavo daridrāṇāmanicchatām ,
bahūnāmicchatāṁ nāsti samṛddhānāṁ viceṣṭatām.

bahūnām icchatām na asti samṛddhānām viceṣṭatām

24. There are indeed many children for the poor, even if they do not desire them. Conversely, for many prosperous people who earnestly wish and strive for children, there are none.
