ततः कदाचिदपरो द्विजस्तं देशमागमत् ।
जटी चीराजिनधरः स्वाध्यायपरमः शुचिः ॥३८॥

jaṭī cīrājinadharaḥ svādhyāyaparamaḥ śuciḥ.

38. Then, sometime later, another brahmin (dvija) arrived in that region. He was an ascetic with matted hair, wearing garments of bark and deerskin, supremely devoted to Vedic study (svādhyāya), and pure.
