महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-162, verse-19

रूपवन्तो गुणोपेतास्तथालुब्धा जितश्रमाः ।
दोषैर्वियुक्ताः प्रथितैस्ते ग्राह्याः पार्थिवेन ह ॥१९॥
19. rūpavanto guṇopetāstathālubdhā jitaśramāḥ ,
doṣairviyuktāḥ prathitaiste grāhyāḥ pārthivena ha.
19. rūpavantaḥ guṇa-upetāḥ tathā a-lubdhāḥ jita-śramāḥ
doṣaiḥ vi-yuktāḥ prathitaiḥ te grāhyāḥ pārthivena ha
19. te rūpavantaḥ guṇa-upetāḥ tathā a-lubdhāḥ jita-śramāḥ
prathitaiḥ doṣaiḥ vi-yuktāḥ pārthivena ha grāhyāḥ
19. They are endowed with good looks and virtues, are not greedy, have overcome fatigue, and are free from notorious faults. Such persons should indeed be accepted by the king.
