महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-162, verse-13

अल्पेऽप्यपकृते मूढस्तथाज्ञानात्कृतेऽपि च ।
कार्योपसेवी मित्रेषु मित्रद्वेषी नराधिप ॥१३॥
13. alpe'pyapakṛte mūḍhastathājñānātkṛte'pi ca ,
kāryopasevī mitreṣu mitradveṣī narādhipa.

13. O king (narādhipa), the foolish person (mūḍhaḥ) is hostile towards friends (mitradveṣī) and serves only for his own purposes (kāryopasevī) among them, even for a minor wrongdoing (alpe apakṛte) or one committed out of ignorance (ajñānāt kṛte api).
