महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-162, verse-11

वहतश्च यथाशक्ति यो न तुष्यति मन्दधीः ।
अमित्रमिव यो भुङ्क्ते सदा मित्रं नरर्षभ ॥११॥
11. vahataśca yathāśakti yo na tuṣyati mandadhīḥ ,
amitramiva yo bhuṅkte sadā mitraṁ nararṣabha.
11. vahataḥ ca yathāśakti yaḥ na tuṣyati mandadhīḥ
amitram iva yaḥ bhuṅkte sadā mitram nararṣabha
11. nararṣabha,
yaḥ mandadhīḥ yathāśakti vahataḥ ca (api) na tuṣyati,
yaḥ ca mitram amitram iva sadā bhuṅkte
11. O best of men (nararṣabha), that dull-witted person (mandadhīḥ) who is never satisfied, even when someone exerts themselves according to their capacity (yathāśakti), and who always exploits a friend (mitram) as if they were an enemy (amitram).
