महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-92, verse-23

एवं संदिश्य तनयं प्रतीपः शंतनुं तदा ।
स्वे च राज्येऽभिषिच्यैनं वनं राजा विवेश ह ॥२३॥
23. evaṁ saṁdiśya tanayaṁ pratīpaḥ śaṁtanuṁ tadā ,
sve ca rājye'bhiṣicyainaṁ vanaṁ rājā viveśa ha.
23. evaṃ saṃdiśya tanayaṃ pratīpaḥ śaṃtanuṃ tadā
sve ca rājye abhiṣicya enaṃ vanaṃ rājā viveśa ha
23. Having thus instructed his son Shantanu, King Prateepa then consecrated him to his own kingdom and indeed entered the forest.
