महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-59, verse-5

दानवान्राक्षसांश्चैव गन्धर्वान्पन्नगांस्तथा ।
पुरुषादानि चान्यानि जघ्नुः सत्त्वान्यनेकशः ॥५॥
5. dānavānrākṣasāṁścaiva gandharvānpannagāṁstathā ,
puruṣādāni cānyāni jaghnuḥ sattvānyanekaśaḥ.
5. dānavān rākṣasān ca eva gandharvān pannagān tathā
puruṣādāni ca anyāni jaghnuḥ sattvāni anekaśaḥ
5. They killed the Danavas, Rakshasas, Gandharvas, and Pannagas, and also numerous other man-eating beings.
