महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-218, verse-38

तत्राद्भुतान्यदृश्यन्त निमित्तानि महाहवे ।
युगान्तसमरूपाणि भूतोत्सादाय भारत ॥३८॥

yugāntasamarūpāṇi bhūtotsādāya bhārata.

38. O descendant of Bharata, in that great battle, wondrous omens appeared, resembling the destruction at the end of an age (yugānta) and portending the annihilation of all beings.
