महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-218, verse-26

कृष्णश्च सुमहातेजाश्चक्रेणारिनिहा तदा ।
दैत्यदानवसंघानां चकार कदनं महत् ॥२६॥
26. kṛṣṇaśca sumahātejāścakreṇārinihā tadā ,
daityadānavasaṁghānāṁ cakāra kadanaṁ mahat.
26. kṛṣṇaḥ ca sumahātejāḥ cakreṇa arinihā tadā
daityadānavasaṃghānām cakāra kadanam mahat
26. And then, Krishna, of immense splendor and a slayer of foes, wrought great destruction upon the hosts of Daityas and Danavas with his discus (cakra).
