महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-218, verse-22

तांश्चकर्त शरैः पार्थः सरोषान्दृश्य खेचरान् ।
विवशाश्चापतन्दीप्तं देहाभावाय पावकम् ॥२२॥
22. tāṁścakarta śaraiḥ pārthaḥ saroṣāndṛśya khecarān ,
vivaśāścāpatandīptaṁ dehābhāvāya pāvakam.

22. Seeing those enraged sky-dwellers (the Garudas and serpents), Arjuna cut them down with his arrows. Helpless, they then fell into the blazing fire, resulting in the annihilation of their bodies.
