saḥ oṃkārārdhaḥ ardhamātrāntaḥ śāntaniḥśeṣamānasaḥ lipikarmārpitākāraḥ āśāntavedanaḥ āsīt.

His state was akin to the subtle half-mora (ardhamātrā) at the end of the sacred syllable Om (oṃkāra), with his mind (mānasa) entirely peaceful. His form, as if rendered into written letters, had become so tranquil that all sensation (vedana) ceased.
