वृद्धतापस उवाच ।
तस्मिन्नेव कदम्बेऽस्मिन्वर्षाणि स्वेच्छया दश ।
स्थित्वा गौरी जगामाथ हरवामार्धमन्दिरम् ॥ १ ॥
तस्मिन्नेव कदम्बेऽस्मिन्वर्षाणि स्वेच्छया दश ।

The old ascetic said: Gauri, having resided for ten years by her own will in this very Kadamba tree, then departed to Hara's (Shiva's) left-half abode.
