अविद्या बत घोरेयमनन्ता च प्रमीयते ।
मीयते न च केनापि ब्रह्मज्ञानं समं विना ॥ ४३ ॥

Alas, this terrible and endless ignorance (avidyā) is perceived. But it is not truly comprehended by anyone without the equivalent knowledge of Brahman (brahmajñānam).
