न चेतस्यधियां त्वेताश्चित्तं यान्ति न देहकम् ।
कुम्भ उवाच ।
एवमस्त्वनुतिष्ठामि यामिनीस्त्रीत्वमात्मनः ॥ ४५ ॥

na cetasyadhiyāṃ tvetāścittaṃ yānti na dehakam ,

na cetasi adhiyām tu etāḥ cittam yānti na dehakam kumbhaḥ

tu etāḥ adhiyām cetasi na yānti,
na cittam,
na dehakam kumbhaḥ uvāca evam astu ātmanaḥ yāminīstrītvaṃ anutiṣṭhāmi

But for the unwise, these (conditions) neither affect their mind nor their body. Kumba said: 'So be it. I shall assume this state of being a woman at night for my very self (ātman).'
