योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-78, verse-13

अन्तःप्राणपरिस्पन्दात्संकल्पकलनोन्मुखी ।
संवित्संजायते यैषा तच्चित्तं विद्धि राघव ॥ १३ ॥
antaḥprāṇaparispandātsaṃkalpakalanonmukhī ,
saṃvitsaṃjāyate yaiṣā taccittaṃ viddhi rāghava 13

saṃvit saṃjāyate yā eṣā tat cittam viddhi rāghava
13. rāghava antaḥ prāṇaparispandāt saṅkalpakalanonmukhī

13. O Rāghava, understand that this consciousness (saṃvit) which arises from the internal pulsation of the vital breath (prāṇa) and is directed towards the formation of intentions (saṅkalpa), is precisely the mind (citta).
