योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-31, verse-3

न कदाचन पाताले दैत्या दोर्दण्डशालिनः ।
स्थिरा बभूवुरुद्भिन्नाः पद्मा इव हिमाचले ॥ ३ ॥
na kadācana pātāle daityā dordaṇḍaśālinaḥ ,
sthirā babhūvurudbhinnāḥ padmā iva himācale 3

3. Never, in the netherworld (pātāla), did the Daityas (demons), powerful in their arms, remain stable once they appeared, just as lotuses, once they have sprouted, do not remain (stable) in the Himalaya.
