संदेहसागरे मग्ना जग्मुश्चिन्तां सुमन्त्रिणः ।
विषीदति गदापाणावसुराजाविवामराः ॥ ४८ ॥
saṃdehasāgare magnā jagmuścintāṃ sumantriṇaḥ ,
viṣīdati gadāpāṇāvasurājāvivāmarāḥ 48

48. The good ministers, plunged in an ocean of doubt, became anxious. The king himself became dejected, just as the gods become distressed when the mace-wielding Vishnu is afflicted by the demon kings.
