वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-11, verse-49

यदि भिन्द्याद्भवान् सालानिमांस्त्वेकेषुणा ततः ।
जानीयां त्वां महाबाहो समर्थं वालिनो वधे ॥४९॥
49. yadi bhindyādbhavān sālānimāṃstvekeṣuṇā tataḥ ,
jānīyāṃ tvāṃ mahābāho samarthaṃ vālino vadhe.
49. yadi bhindyāt bhavān sālān imān tu ekeṣuṇā tataḥ
jānīyām tvām mahābāho samartham vālinaḥ vadhe
49. mahābāho,
yadi bhavān imān sālān tu ekeṣuṇā bhindyāt,
tataḥ tvām vālinaḥ vadhe samartham jānīyām.
49. O mighty-armed one, if you would pierce these Sala trees with a single arrow, then I would know you to be capable of killing Vali.
