वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-60, verse-10

निराशस्तु तया नद्या सीताया दर्शने कृतः ।
उवाच रामः सौमित्रिं सीतादर्शनकर्शितः ॥१०॥
10. nirāśastu tayā nadyā sītāyā darśane kṛtaḥ ,
uvāca rāmaḥ saumitriṃ sītādarśanakarśitaḥ.
10. nirāśaḥ tu tayā nadyā sītāyāḥ darśane kṛtaḥ
uvāca rāmaḥ saumitrim sītādarśanakarśitaḥ
10. tu tayā nadyā sītāyāḥ darśane nirāśaḥ kṛtaḥ
sītādarśanakarśitaḥ rāmaḥ saumitrim uvāca
10. But Rāma, rendered despairing by that river concerning the finding of Sītā, and worn out by the failure to find Sītā, spoke to Saumitri (Lakṣmaṇa).
