O best among the twice-born (dvija), if Mars (bhauma) is in the eighth house, death is from weapons or implements. If Mercury (jña) is there, death is from fever. If Jupiter (guru) is there, death is from disease. If Venus (bhṛgu) is there, death is from hunger. If Saturn (śani) is there, death is from thirst—this should be known.
