नागाः सहस्रशस्तस्थुर्नागपत्न्यः कुमारकाः ॥४०॥

40. tato rasātalaṃ nītā tena tatra ca me puraḥ .

Then I was led by him to the netherworld (Rasātala), and there, before me, thousands of nāgas, along with their wives and young ones, stood.
