मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-123, verse-2

शुश्राव सहसा शब्दं त्राहित्राहीति योषितः ।
विक्रोशन्त्याः सुबहुशो भयगद्गदमुच्चकैः ॥२॥
2. śuśrāva sahasā śabdaṃ trāhitrāhīti yoṣitaḥ .
vikrośantyāḥ subahuśo bhayagadgadamuccakaiḥ.

vikrośantyāḥ subahuśaḥ bhayagadgadam uccakaiḥ
2. He suddenly heard a woman's loud, fear-choked cries, repeatedly screaming, "Save me! Save me!"
