मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-114, verse-44

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
तथेति च प्रतिज्ञाते भूभुजा तेन सत्तम ।
विश्ववेदी ततो मन्त्री तद् भ्रातॄननयद्वशम् ॥४४॥
44. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
tatheti ca pratijñāte bhūbhujā tena sattama .
viśvavedī tato mantrī tad bhrātṝnanayadvaśam.
44. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca tathā iti ca pratijñāte bhūbhujā tena
sattama viśvavedī tataḥ mantrī tat bhrātr̥̄n anayat vaśam
44. Mārkaṇḍeya said: 'O best of men, when that king agreed, saying "So be it," then the minister Viśvavedī brought his brothers under his influence.'
