मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-114, verse-28

प्रजासु च समस्तासु पुत्रेष्विव सदा हितः ।
एकदा मन्त्रिणा शौरिः स प्रोक्तो विश्ववेदिना ॥२८॥
28. prajāsu ca samastāsu putreṣviva sadā hitaḥ .
ekadā mantriṇā śauriḥ sa prokto viśvavedinā.

28. He was always benevolent towards all the subjects, just like a father to his sons. One day, Śauri was addressed by an all-knowing (viśvavedin) minister (mantriṇā).
