वयं तु भ्रातरः पञ्च पृथ्वी चैका महामते ।
अतोऽस्याः पृथगैश्वर्यं कथं कृत्स्नं भविष्यति ॥३९॥

39. vayaṃ tu bhrātaraḥ pañca pṛthvī caikā mahāmate .
ato'syāḥ pṛthagaiśvaryaṃ kathaṃ kṛtsnaṃ bhaviṣyati.

But we are five brothers, O great-minded one, and the earth is only one. Therefore, how can separate sovereignty over it be complete?
