मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-114, verse-11

स्वधर्माभिरतो नित्यं वृद्धसेवी बहुश्रुतः ।
वाग्मी विनयसम्पन्नः कृतास्त्रोऽप्यविकत्थनः ॥११॥
11. svadharmābhirato nityaṃ vṛddhasevī bahuśrutaḥ .
vāgmī vinayasampannaḥ kṛtāstro'pyavikatthanaḥ.
11. svadharmābhirataḥ nityam vṛddhasevī bahuśrutaḥ
vāgmī vinayasampannaḥ kṛtāstraḥ api avikatthanaḥ
11. He was always devoted to his own natural law (svadharma), served the elders, and was very learned. He was eloquent, endowed with humility, and even though skilled in weaponry, he was not boastful.
