ज्येष्ठो राजा यथा प्रीत्या भजतेऽस्मान्सुतानिव ।
कथं तस्य करिष्यामि ममत्वं जगतीगतम् ॥४२॥

jyeṣṭho rājā yathā prītyā bhajate'smānsutāniva .
kathaṃ tasya kariṣyāmi mamatvaṃ jagatīgatam.

rājā uvāca jyeṣṭhaḥ rājā yathā prītyā bhajate asmān

The king said: 'How can I develop a sense of possessiveness (mamatva) for this kingdom, when the elder king treats us with such affection, just like his own sons?'
