महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-50, verse-14

न विनाशमिदं गच्छेत्त्वत्तेज इति निश्चयात् ।
प्रतिगृह्णीष्व पुत्रं स्वं मया दत्तमनिन्दितम् ॥१४॥
14. na vināśamidaṁ gacchettvatteja iti niścayāt ,
pratigṛhṇīṣva putraṁ svaṁ mayā dattamaninditam.
14. na vināśam idam gacchet tvat tejaḥ iti niścayāt
pratigṛhṇīṣva putram svam mayā dattam aninditam
14. idam tvat tejaḥ vināśam na gacchet iti niścayāt

14. With the conviction (niścaya) that 'this `tejas` (energy or splendor) of yours should not be destroyed,' please accept your own blameless son, given by me.
