महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-90, verse-40

ततस्ते तावकाः सर्वे मायया विमुखीकृताः ।
अन्योन्यं समपश्यन्त निकृत्तान्मेदिनीतले ।
विचेष्टमानान्कृपणाञ्शोणितेन समुक्षितान् ॥४०॥
40. tataste tāvakāḥ sarve māyayā vimukhīkṛtāḥ ,
anyonyaṁ samapaśyanta nikṛttānmedinītale ,
viceṣṭamānānkṛpaṇāñśoṇitena samukṣitān.
40. tatas te tāvakāḥ sarve māyayā
vimukhīkṛtāḥ anyonyam samapaśyanta
nikṛttān medinītale viceṣṭamānān
kṛpaṇān śoṇitena samukṣitān
40. tatas sarve tāvakāḥ māyayā

40. Then, all of your men, bewildered by illusion (māyā), saw each other cut down on the ground, struggling miserably and drenched in blood.
