कर्ण उवाच ।
अपि त्वा कृष्ण पश्याम जीवन्तोऽस्मान्महारणात् ।
समुत्तीर्णा महाबाहो वीरक्षयविनाशनात् ॥४५॥

Karṇa said: O Krishna, O mighty-armed one (mahābāho), will we, having survived and escaped this great war (mahāraṇāt) which annihilates heroes (vīrakṣayavināśanāt), see you again?
