महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-10, verse-2

समर्थो ह्यभवं पूर्वमसमर्थोऽस्मि सांप्रतम् ।
कथं कुर्यां नु भद्रं वो दुष्प्रधर्षः स मे मतः ॥२॥
2. samartho hyabhavaṁ pūrvamasamartho'smi sāṁpratam ,
kathaṁ kuryāṁ nu bhadraṁ vo duṣpradharṣaḥ sa me mataḥ.
2. samarthaḥ hi abhavam pūrvam asamarthaḥ asmi sāmpratam
katham kuryām nu bhadram vaḥ duṣpradharṣaḥ saḥ me mataḥ
2. "Indeed, I was capable before, but I am powerless now. How then can I accomplish your well-being? In my opinion, he (Vṛtra) is unconquerable."
