महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-10, verse-35

यदि वृत्रं न हन्म्यद्य वञ्चयित्वा महासुरम् ।
महाबलं महाकायं न मे श्रेयो भविष्यति ॥३५॥
35. yadi vṛtraṁ na hanmyadya vañcayitvā mahāsuram ,
mahābalaṁ mahākāyaṁ na me śreyo bhaviṣyati.
35. yadi vṛtram na hanmi adya vañcayitvā mahāsuram
mahābalam mahākayam na me śreyaḥ bhaviṣyati
35. If I do not slay Vṛtra today, after having outwitted that great demon (mahāsura), who possesses immense strength (mahābala) and a massive body (mahākāya), then there will be no well-being for me.
