शरण्यं शरणं देवं जग्मुर्विष्णुं महाबलम् ॥५॥

Śalya said: When Maghavan (Indra) had spoken thus, the gods, accompanied by groups of sages, then approached Viṣṇu, the greatly powerful deity who serves as refuge and protector.
