महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-10, verse-30

वध्यो भवेयं विप्रेन्द्राः शक्रस्य सह दैवतैः ।
एवं मे रोचते संधिः शक्रेण सह नित्यदा ॥३०॥
30. vadhyo bhaveyaṁ viprendrāḥ śakrasya saha daivataiḥ ,
evaṁ me rocate saṁdhiḥ śakreṇa saha nityadā.
30. vadhyaḥ bhaveyam vipra-indrāḥ śakrasya saha daivataiḥ
| evam me rocate sandhiḥ śakreṇa saha nityadā
30. O foremost Brahmins (vipra), I desire to be vulnerable to death (vadhya) by Śakra along with the other deities. Such a pact (sandhi) with Śakra is always agreeable to me.
