महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-238, verse-9

भवेद्यशः पृथिव्यां मे ख्यातं गन्धर्वतो वधात् ।
प्राप्ताश्च लोकाः पुण्याः स्युर्महेन्द्रसदनेऽक्षयाः ॥९॥
9. bhavedyaśaḥ pṛthivyāṁ me khyātaṁ gandharvato vadhāt ,
prāptāśca lokāḥ puṇyāḥ syurmahendrasadane'kṣayāḥ.
9. bhavet yaśaḥ pṛthivyām me khyātam gandharvataḥ vadhāt
prāptāḥ ca lokāḥ puṇyāḥ syuḥ mahendra-sadane akṣayāḥ
9. May my fame on earth become renowned through the slaying of the Gandharva, and may imperishable, meritorious realms be attained in the abode of Mahendra.
