महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-23, verse-8

एवं दश दिशः सर्वास्तिर्यगूर्ध्वं च भारत ।
नादयामासुरसुरास्ते चापि निहता मया ॥८॥
8. evaṁ daśa diśaḥ sarvāstiryagūrdhvaṁ ca bhārata ,
nādayāmāsurasurāste cāpi nihatā mayā.
8. evam daśa diśaḥ sarvāḥ tiryak ūrdhvam ca bhārata
nādayāmāsuḥ asurāḥ te ca api nihatāḥ mayā
8. Thus, O Bhārata, the asuras caused all ten directions, both horizontally and upwards, to resound. And they, too, were struck down by me.
