महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-23, verse-49

ब्राह्मणाश्च विशश्चैव तथा विषयवासिनः ।
विसृज्यमानाः सुभृशं न त्यजन्ति स्म पाण्डवान् ॥४९॥
49. brāhmaṇāśca viśaścaiva tathā viṣayavāsinaḥ ,
visṛjyamānāḥ subhṛśaṁ na tyajanti sma pāṇḍavān.
49. brāhmaṇāḥ ca viśaḥ ca eva tathā viṣayavāsinaḥ
visṛjyamānāḥ subhṛśam na tyajanti sma pāṇḍavān
49. The Brahmins, the Vaiśyas, and the inhabitants of the region, even when being strongly dismissed, would not abandon the Pāṇḍavas.
