महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-23, verse-36

ततः शाल्वं गदां गुर्वीमाविध्यन्तं महाहवे ।
द्विधा चकार सहसा प्रजज्वाल च तेजसा ॥३६॥
36. tataḥ śālvaṁ gadāṁ gurvīmāvidhyantaṁ mahāhave ,
dvidhā cakāra sahasā prajajvāla ca tejasā.

36. Then, in that great battle, I quickly split Śālva, who was brandishing a heavy mace, into two, and he blazed forth with splendor.
