महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-60, verse-38

कर्णस्तु तद्वाक्यमतीव हृष्टः संपूजयामास हसन्सशब्दम् ।
गान्धारराजः सुबलस्य पुत्रस्तथैव दुःशासनमभ्यनन्दत् ॥३८॥
38. karṇastu tadvākyamatīva hṛṣṭaḥ; saṁpūjayāmāsa hasansaśabdam ,
gāndhārarājaḥ subalasya putra;stathaiva duḥśāsanamabhyanandat.
38. karṇaḥ tu tat vākyam atīva hṛṣṭaḥ
saṃpūjayāmāsa hasan saśabdam
gāndhārarājaḥ subalasya putraḥ
tathā eva duḥśāsanam abhyanandat
38. Karṇa, indeed, was exceedingly delighted by that statement and applauded loudly while laughing. Similarly, the king of Gandhāra, Subala's son, congratulated Duśśāsana.
