मातुर्हि वचनं श्रुत्वा तदा सलिलकर्मणि ।
कर्णस्य क्रियतां तोयमिति तप्यामि तेन वै ॥६॥

6. māturhi vacanaṁ śrutvā tadā salilakarmaṇi ,
karṇasya kriyatāṁ toyamiti tapyāmi tena vai.

6. Indeed, having heard my mother's words then, during the water ritual (salilakarma), 'Let the water offering be made for Karṇa'—because of that, I lament.
